The European Endorsed Regional Government Safety Inspectors Training Centre was founded at the National Aviation University according to ICAO decision on November, 25 th , 2002. The main purpose of this Centre is to train and upgrade the aviation enterprises personnel professional skills for safe functioning of civil aviation.
The ICAO Centre works in co-operation with the Civil Aviation Administration of Ukraine, the International Civil Aviation Organization Headquarters.
The Standardized Training Packages based on the TRAINAIR methodology are used for training taking into account national peculiarities.
The following official ICAO courses are delivered at this Centre:
Course 18700: Government Safety Inspectors - OPERATIONS;
Course 18701: Government Safety Inspectors - AIRWORTHINESS.
The certification process of operators and approved maintenance organizations is considered in these courses. Inspectors of flight operations and airworthiness from the Civil Aviation Administration of Ukraine conduct these courses
The SMS (Safety Management Systems) training course and 11 national courses approved by the Civil Aviation Administration of Ukraine have been organized for aviation personnel. The list of courses includes a erodrome flight safety provision, search and rescue operations, visual and lighting systems for flight safety provision, information provision systems for safe operations, processing and analysis of flight data, aircraft accident prevention and investigation, aircraft manufacturing certification system, aerodrome ground equipment maintenance, modern technologies applied for aviation fuel and lubricants, ecological safety in air transportation, international regulatory basis for passenger transportation.
English and Russian are the languages of training. Highly skilled instructors, certified by ICAO are involved into the delivering courses. The ICAO Centre Certificates are given to trainees successfully completed the course.
The ICAO Centre has a wide experience in holding workshops at aviation enterprises. In this case the training can be carried out both in Ukraine and abroad and the minimum number of trainees is 10.
